Research shows that more than 50% of all projects have major shortcomings and
25% fail completely. A project review can be a significant aid to get wayward
projects back onto the rails. Our approach Amtec carries out project reviews
using a structured process that looks at a number of facets of the project. It
looks at planning, progress monitoring, resourcing, dependencies, constraints,
reporting, and risk management to assess whether the management processes
conform to best practice. It then looks at the objectives of the project to
determine whether the plan is still firmly focused on delivering them. The review comprises a combination of assessment of project documentation and
information gathered from staff in key project roles, either using structured
interviews or workshops. A review report will summarise the status of the
project and it will give recommendations that will indicate the best route
